The Rabbit The wild rabbit inhabits woods and grasslands, generally
is grey colour resembling the hare. Prolific and voracious, resides in
couples inside burrows; otherwise, the domestic rabbit descend from the
previous, and there are around 50 varieties with pretty different hairs
and sizes. The meat, fur and hair have application in industry. The most
well-known meat-producer breeds are Flanders, Norman, Burgundy;
the best fur-producers are Chinchilla rabbit, Champagne,
and the different breeds of white rabbits: the Angora is
the only one hair-producer. The moustache is the tactile organ, the teeth are sharp and increase incessantly. Rabbits grazes herbs, tree leaves, carrots, cabbages, twice at day. They often need fresh straw, their foodstuff can be mixed with milk or water; their organism hydrates thanks to food, and that’s why rabbits don’t need to drink water all the time. Their cages must be rather spacious, and have to be kept clean, with straws over the floor and free of unnecessary stuff. Never rabbits have to be grabbed by the ears, since they are very delicate cartilage’s and may get wounded easily. The skin and the flesh are also very sensible tissues, and get effortlessly removed from the inner layer of the skin. Also it’s indispensable to be careful with their eyes (and rabbits kick strong when scared). Rabbits procreate very easy, and can give birth to more than 10 young. The females root out some soft hair from their abdomen to build the nests, and keep warm the new-borns. ![]() |
